Industrial Carbon Footprint Assessment and Emissions Reduction

Operating industrial site

Know where your emissions actually sit, and which reductions are worth funding.

Emissions measurement and quantified reduction opportunities for industry across Australia.

An industrial carbon footprint assessment measures the greenhouse gas emissions associated with operating a site or facility, including direct emissions, purchased energy and relevant value-chain emissions. Advitech uses site-specific operational data to establish the emissions boundary, calculate Scope 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions, document assumptions and identify the sources that matter most.

Industrial Carbon Footprint Assessment and Emissions Reduction Services

Carbon Footprint Measurement

Emissions inventories across Scope 1, 2 and 3, calculated using the methodology that fits your reporting obligation, commonly GHG Protocol, from your meters, invoices and production records. The boundary and every assumption are documented, so the figure can be re-run and defended.

Emissions Reduction Opportunities

Assessment of where energy and process losses sit across the site, covering compressed air, steam, refrigeration, motors, heat recovery and fuel switching. Every opportunity is quantified for emissions effect and energy or cost effect, so you can see what each one is worth and where to start.

Energy Efficiency Assessment

Where a formal energy audit is the right instrument, we scope it to AS/NZS 3598. The output is a set of quantified measures, not a list of ideas, so it can go straight into a capital conversation.

NGER and Safeguard Mechanism Alignment

Where your site already reports under NGER, we work from that data so the footprint and the submission tell the same story. Where the Safeguard Mechanism applies, your baseline becomes the starting point rather than a second exercise.

National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) Reporting

Where your site has National Pollutant Inventory obligations, Advitech prepares your NPI report using the same operational and monitoring data.

Problems we help you solve

Icon for sustainability - leaves in a hand

When a customer wants emissions data and you cannot produce it

A supplier questionnaire arrives with a deadline that belongs to your customer. We build a defensible emissions inventory from the data you already hold, documented so it does not have to be rebuilt next quarter.

When you have a number but no confidence in it

A figure without a documented method has to be rebuilt every time someone asks. We document the boundary, method and assumptions so the number holds up in front of a customer, a lender or an assurance provider.

When you know you should cut emissions but not where

Reduction proposals without numbers are guesses with a business case attached. We quantify each opportunity so you can see what each measure is worth and put it into your capital planning.

Sustainability icon

When you need a list you can actually act on

A set of quantified measures is only useful if someone can take it forward. The findings, the method and the numbers are yours, and you can put them out to any engineer. Where you would rather keep it under one roof, our mechanical and process engineers can scope the delivery as a separate project.
