Due to growing demand for our help with major energy storage and climate technology projects, Advitech is seeking a graduate chemical engineer to join our team.

Graduate Chemical Engineer

What You'll Do

Supported by a team of highly experienced engineers, you will work on a range of practical, industry-based projects and challenges. You’ll see Big Things being made, and feel like you’re making a difference. You’ll have heaps of opportunity to grow and will be both challenged and rewarded.

Tasks will include the following:

  • Contribute to analysis of safety and hazard issues associated with major projects such as largescale battery, or hydrogen plant installations.
  • Review relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Perform engineering calculations and modeling.
  • Visit major industry sites or industrial plant.
  • Contribute to written reports.
  • Meet with clients and help prepare proposals of how Advitech can help.

What You'll Need to Bring To the Role

  • A degree (or close to graduation) in chemical engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for engineering - a history of building things, tearing them apart, and (hopefully!) getting them back together.
  • Demonstrated experience with fluid flow analysis.

About the Position

Position Type: Permanent, Full Time or Part Time
Reports To: Lead Engineering – Process
Location (flexible): Emergent Group Headquarters, Newcastle is preferred, but we remain open to other options. Flexible work practices apply for this role.
