Water and Wastewater ManagementAdvitech has taken part in numerous projects associated with the management of water and waste water issues. In particular Advitech's process engineers are regularly involved with water use minimisation and reuse opportunities within Advitech's ResourceWise program. Following are some examples of water related projects conducted by Advitech:
Examples
Advitech assisted in identifying a number of water conservation measures at Bartter Enterprises Beresfield poultry processing plant. These initiatives included the use of recycled water for sealing fluid plant vacuum pumps, with the potential to save 1 ML of water per week. In addition, a further potential water saving of 0.6 ML week could be realised by the implementation of an improved washdown management strategy.
Advitech assisted Pacific National in auditing and reviewing the current operation of their Port Kembla oily water treatment plant. The Advitech process engineer identified the potential to reduce operating costs at the same time as simplifying the process by incorporating new technology into the process. Initial effluent quality results from trials have been promising and final trials our now underway. |
