Integrated Risk Management System

Criteria Integrated Risk Management System (CIRMS) is an integrated approach to risk management. It was developed by Advitech on the basis of its many years experience working with businesses in a range of sectors.

CIRMS is essentially a series of manuals which summarises Advitech's proven approach. It provides information, guidelines, templates and examples to guide organisations in unifying their risk management activities across the enterprise. Seven basic components are offered by Advitech as part of the methodology:

  • Action Learning - Assessing risks related to specific and immediate situations within a workshop.
  • In-house Training - Risk management training for groups of 10-20 persons, typically over 2 days.
  • Reference Material - Advitech’s own comprehensive “How to” manuals, in two volumes.
  • Coaching and Support - Advitech's experienced staff are available to help consolidate skills.
  • Software Systems - Use Advitech’s suite of risk software products, or use existing systems.
  • Competency Assessment – Against nationally recognised competencies.
  • Project Management – Advitech can manage any or all of the program components.

CIRMS sets organisations on a course to meet their legislative and corporate governance obligations, with the opportunity to derive strategic advantage from the process. Organisations are shown how risk management can be integrated into routine activities, so that risk management becomes systematic, logical, “business as usual”, throughout the business.

Advitech’s approach allows organisations to track risk management performance against agreed objectives. The ultimate outcome is a culture where people question each process step, continually searching for potential defects and sources of improvement. The approach can also be applied to “positive risk” or opportunities.

Finally, Advitech offers the flexibility for organisations to achieve their desired outcomes at their own pace.
