Advitech's technical and engineering advice has helped Rutherford manufacturer Ultrafloor save over $70,000 in operating costs in one year.
Advitech has been working with Ultrafloor to achieve considerable savings over the last year, as part of the NSW Dept of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) Sustainability Advantage program.
Ultrafloor has reduced electricity, gas and water usage, through a number of activities such as improving forklift efficiency, water recycling, and process optimisation. For example, they are now cutting the concrete beams used in their flooring system at the optimal time when they are not too hard, resulting in the use of less energy and water, and fewer expensive cutting blades.
'We saw considerable savings for the business, which indeed have now been realised.'
Advitech is working with over 100 companies on environmental initiatives as part of DECC's programs. 'Our role is too assist companies to look at internal improvements.' (Colin Barker, Advitech). By cutting water, gas and energy bills, Advitech has helped Ultrafloor to help the environment AND improve their bottom line.
