Advitech has been donating to local charities for many years. Last year, food hampers were donated to the Wesley Mission and this year, The Advitech Group selected The Hunter Outreach Project at The Family Action Centre.

“Being a local business, we take pride in giving back to the community, especially at Christmas. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to make a difference to so many children and families through The Family Action Centre”, said Larry Platt (pictured right beside the tree), Executive Chairman of The Advitech Group. “The response from staff was overwhelming, with gifts provided for over 70 children, from newborn to 18 years of age. The company and staff also donated food, beverages and household items which were used to make up family hampers. Given the support from staff and gratitude from The Family Action Centre, I’m sure we will continue to support this great program for many Christmas’s to come.”

Project Workers from The Family Action Centre were astonished when they arrived to collect the presents and hamper items, stating they should have brought a larger car. They were extremely appreciative of the efforts of our management and staff, recognising that the gifts would make a significant difference to many of the marginal families in the Newcastle and Lower Hunter region.
